A LITTLE ABOUT THE WOMAN BEHIND THE CAMERA

Hey, I'm Jess.

Photographer. Confidence coach. Professional hype woman. Occasional bad influence.

I'm the woman who's going to tell you to stick your ass out, arch your back, and trust me when I say you look hot.

I'm not going to pretend a photoshoot magically makes every insecurity disappear.

But I can give you a space where you don't have to be anybody's mom, wife, employee, or caretaker for a little while.

You just get to be you.

And I get to show you how incredible that can look.

I know what it's like to not

feel good enough.

It's never been just about the pictures.

I've spent a lot of my life feeling like I wasn't enough.

Not pretty enough. Not thin enough. Not good enough. Just constantly feeling like there was something about me that needed to be different. And when you spend enough time looking at yourself that way, it becomes really hard to see anything else.

I think that's a big part of why I love what I do.

Because when a woman walks into my studio and immediately starts pointing out everything she hates about herself, I get it. I've been that woman.

And the crazy thing is, I can look at her and see someone absolutely beautiful while she's standing there convinced she's anything but.

I wish we could see ourselves the way other people see us sometimes. I wish I could go back and give younger me a little bit of the kindness I so freely give to the women who walk through my door.

I can't do that.

But I can create a space where another woman gets to feel beautiful, wanted, celebrated, and enough. Even if it's something she's struggled to feel for years.

Because I'm not doing this from a place of having it all figured out. I'm doing it because I understand what it feels like when you don't.

Fair warning: I'm a lot.

I'm not the quiet photographer who stands behind the camera and politely asks you to move your chin two inches.

I'm going to hype you up. I'm going to demonstrate poses. I'm probably going yell, and trip over something while simultaneously saying 'fuck'.

But I'm also going to pay attention. If you're nervous, we'll slow down. If something feels uncomfortable, we'll change it. If you need a minute, you get a minute. I want you to have fun.

I want you to feel comfortable dammit. Like we're besties chillin'.

I want you to leave wondering why the hell you were so nervous in the first place.

When I'm not telling women to arch their backs...

I'm a mom, a wife, an animal lover, and an unmedicated ADHD adult who doesn't know how to sit still.

Between my family, my dogs, and whatever new project I've convinced myself is a good idea, life is usually a little chaotic.

I love creating things, changing things, and finding new ways to make the studio feel like somewhere you can escape real life for a while.

And yes, I rearrange furniture constantly.

If you've been here before, there's a good chance the studio looks completely different by the time you come back.

You don't have to be confident to walk through my door.

You don't have to love every inch of yourself.

You don't have to know what you're doing.

You just have to show up.

I'll meet you wherever you're at, and we'll make something pretty damn incredible together.
